What is the WOW Shot?

This is a nonsurgical procedure that uses a woman's own Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) from a simple blood draw, to rejuvenate vaginal tissues and enhance sexual pleasure. The FDA approved PRP treatment immediately activates the body's localized stem cells and begins rejuvenating and revitalizing vaginal and clitoral function helping women experience orgasms with increased intensity. 

 

Can this treatment help incontinence?

The procedure can improve urinary incontinence, returning your urinary control. It treats stress incontinence as well as an overactive bladder. The shot heightens arousal from clitoral stimulation, which can help you on your way to stronger and more frequent orgasms.
 

What does the procedure involve?

You will have a brief pelvic exam and topical numbing medicine will be applied to the external vulvar treatment area and just inside the vagina. During that time, your blood will be drawn from your arm and will be spun down twice to yield a “gold mine” of platelet rich plasma cells rich with concentrated growth factors, proteins, and other important biomolecules. Your PRP will then be prepared for injection. Several injections of lidocaine will be performed in the treatment area rendering the procedure virtually painless.  Your PRP will be injected in the same fashion as the numbing medicine was injected.  You are done!

What kind of conditions can the WOW Shot help with?

Women who have decreased sex drive or decreased ability to achieve orgasm can benefit from the WOW shot.  Additionally, women who have painful intercourse, and/or, vaginal dryness will experience significant improvement.  Conditions such as stress and urge incontinence, as well as lichen sclerosis or lichen planus can also be eliminated.

What is my down time?

You may experience slight spotting from the injection sites which should promptly resolve but, otherwise, you may resume normal activities immediately, including sex, should you desire.

How long does it last?

Typically, results last 18-24 months.  When symptoms start to recur, you will need to schedule another procedure.

How much does it cost?

Some offices charge as much as $1200-$1500 per procedure.  Our charge is $650.
